Our client are an international design practice and are looking for an Associate to join their Landscape design deparment.

Job description as below

Primary role is to plan, evaluate and manage small-to-mid scale projects or, in some groups, a number of small projects through all aspects of the assignment with limited assistance. May be involved in multiple phases of a single or multiple projects. Presents and discusses planning, design and delivery options and solutions with the team and client. Selects and recommends procedures. 

When drafting, primary role is to support the project team, using advanced technical drafting skills. Contributes to and progresses the development of ideas and regularly offers alternative solutions to advance the project. May be involved in planning graphic presentations of complex design with distinct technical aspects. Reviews the schedule for drafting deliverables and assists project managers in evaluating the project resource allocations. Coordinates work with other disciplines. 

Duties may include, but are not limited to, evaluating, selecting, and applying techniques, procedures, and criteria for completion of the project(s). Responsible for quality control supervision of project deliverables. Work requires proactive decision-making in selecting appropriate methods and procedures for executing the work from proposal writing through all phases of the project(s) as appropriate. Responsible for day-today decisions.

Regularly schedules, attends and leads project or user group meetings and interacts with project team to develop an understanding of the specific client's project criteria. Attends and participates in client meetings as active participant and is responsible for maintaining positive client relationships. Capable of discussing key concepts, options, and solutions. Makes effective verbal presentations and is an essential contributor in client meetings and presentations. Develops effective working relationship with client and client representatives. 

Supports the mission of the firm by promoting extraordinary care in pursuit of customer service and quality of design and documentation. 

Limited responsibility for design. May recommend minor design changes to maintain design integrity but improve technical quality


Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in related design field or equivalent certification. If job focus is drafting only, minimum of an Associate Degree in related design field or equivalent technical training. 

Experience Preferably a minimum of 6 years of experience in the field. Professional registration or equivalency preferred. LEED accreditation (or other similarly qualified environmental market standards, such as BREEAM, Estidama, Three Star) strongly preferred.
