Our client is a world renowned equipment manufacturer specializing in providing complete solutions to renewable energy power generators and developers to help them harness and convert energy. The company has been around for more than 40 years and has become one of the better-known names in the quest for harnessing renewable energy especially focussing on the solar sector.
They are looking for a Business Development Manager - Solar to join their team in Japan. the position would would have the incumbent
Driving and managing the international operations for the client in Japan
He/ She will support building an order book through focussed marketing initiatives, thereby maximizing market share, sales revenues, expansion of customer base and building of an effective & efficient sales and operations business to drive their business in Japan.
He/She will be responsible for expanding into new markets, through new project identification and customer acquisition, thus building their brand in Japan.
Formulate and oversee execution of the sales strategy; make decisions about pricing, discount and credit period in consultation with the Global Sales Head(s) and COO, design inventive plan for the sales representatives in coordination with HR.
Continuously scan the environment, develop new strategies, reach out to new clients and new geographies, and maintain relationships across levels at customer organizations to enable acquisition of long-term contracts and create a pipeline for business development.
Work in close coordination with the COO, Sales Leaders and Operations Team to forecast the sales volumes and also plan the sales and stock options for finished goods on a periodic basis, for the assigned business unit
Develop optimal bidding/tariffing models (combining project/ EPC costs, fuel costs and financing costs) for consideration of the Head of Sales and periodically update the same, based on changes in the market
BE (Preferably Electricals) + MBA (Marketing)
10-15years of experience
Requires prior experience of Industrial, Corporate, Institutional and B2B Sales
Requires prior exposure of the Japanese market and understanding of the socio- political requirements of the land
