Our client is a one of the largest global manufactuers of electrical and electronics equipment. They are looking for a Heavy Lifting Sourcing Specialist to join their team in Dubai

ESSENTIAL Requirements for the position are as follows

3 - 5 years experience - Essential to have a logistics background
Needs to be bilingual - preferred, Polish, German, Spanish, Portuguese speakers

Main responsibilities will include:

• Managing Sourcing related activities for all Heavy Lift and Projects related inquiries (budgetary or
firm) from various Business Units in the assigned countries
• Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders in order to ensure engagement in all
activities
• Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) process, implementing effective sourcing strategies
in line with business strategy ensuring that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and
future business requirements
• Contributing to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of procurement processes and practices
taking into account 'international best practice', improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity
improvement
• Working cross functionally with various teams for the on boarding and qualification audits of possible new heavy lift
transport service providers
• Preparing scope of work with all operational details for projects or more complex heavy lift material transports in line with
business requirements
• Managing and conducting procurement activities for both budgetary and firm inquiries from various Business Units using
standard procurement tools, and minimizing risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance
with quality and commercial procedures and Company guidelines
• Negotiating Heavy Lift or Project transportation related price agreements, transport contracts as well as terms and
conditions for operational execution
• Evaluating technical and commercial proposals from transport service providers and providing input with
recommendation to business unit in assigned country
• Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs and ensuring that contract creation, execution
and analysis are carried out for maximizing operational and financial performance and minimizing risk, also ensuring
alignment to the existing Global Frame Agreements at all time
• Identifying suitable Project Freight Forwarders within a pool of approved providers considering the geographical and
operational scope of work, quality, cost, sustainability in line with company policies
• Applying and implementing SCM standards, tools, and processes focused on Business continuity for the assigned
responsibility area
• Ensuring that all work carried out is of the highest standards of safety and quality, and in compliance with HSE
requirements, and work closely with Health and Safety team regarding the specific project requirement
• In case of any insurance claims during a project period, actively support the claim process of the company
• Contributing and participating in setting and implementing budget and Targets within the framework, ensuring the
category sourcing performance targets are achieved and controlling spend and build a culture of long term saving on
logistics related costs
• Where required, ensuring that the sourcing function is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding,
motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies and Group Supply Chain Management
excellence guidelines
