Tendering Manager

BWP are currently representing a leading organisation in the contracting and maintenance division who are currently looking for a Tendering Manager in their Kuwait office.

You will be responsible for

  • Prepares Tender Appraisal analysis and Bid / No Bid evaluation and analysis
  • Permanent briefing on the tenders in the market, whether governmental or private, and the work of research and survey to collect information to evaluate the tender and the extent of return and value added of the company on the physical or moral level
  • Researching and gathering all the relevant details about the new project in the market and track all requests
  • Analyse quotations commercial and technical, prepare detailed cost comparison and conduct meetings and negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Conduct market intelligence to support management decisions in Bids
  • Perform and prepare risk analysis and models
  • Prepare/assist in preparation of proposal cash flows and working capital analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of Project Profitability Summary
  • Supervise updates and maintenance of historical cost data and databases
  • Support development of estimating policies, standards and procedures
  • Supervise the preparation of cost studies utilizing historical data, statistical analysis and cost and quantity comparisons
  • Analyse cost/price data from suppliers/subcontractors, with the ability to generate comparative data (historical costs and other metrics) as part of the cost/price analysis
  • Develops and ensures tendering strategy is consistent with upper management directions
  • Provide input to staffing plans. Provide support, inputs into, and monitor planning, workload and resource allocation
  • Interfaces with and coordinates estimating workload with project control programs

Core Competencies

  • Ability to direct and manage estimating & tendering activities of all related projects
  • Experience in managing, supervise and review the preparation and presentation of proposals, tenders & estimates
  • Expert knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts
  • Experience with preparing mega-project tenders Prefer PMP certification

 Key Requirements  

  • Minimum 20 years’ experience in MEP estimating / operations
  • Masters engineering degree
  • Strong MS Office skills and advanced knowledge of construction estimating software programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
