BWP are representing an International Energy and Renewables provider, expanding its footprint in Saudi Arabia. The organization is looking for a Site Manager to deliver a significant utility-scale 300MW+ solar project as part of the national renewable energy program in KSA.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager with significant experience in the power and renewable energy sector to work for the project company of the lead developer.

The Site Manager will be responsible for managing, on a day-to-day basis, all on-site work activities for the construction of the entire solar PV plant (electrical, mechanical, civil, communications, HSE, QA/QC, etc.).

To be considered for this position, you must have the following requirements:

  • Diploma as Electrical Engineer (Mechanical and Civil could be accepted according to experience) and minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a similar position in construction/power generation projects (at least 2 of them with Solar PV projects).
  • In-depth knowledge of solar power generating equipment: inverters, trackers, met towers, combiners, SCADA and HV electrical distribution and substations.
  • Prior experience delivering a utility-scale pv project 100MW+
  • Prior experience delivering utility construction projects in the Middle East or similar conditions is preferred

Your role includes:

  • Identify, evaluate, resolve and record all construction issues/problems.
  • Participate with the Project Manager in construction meetings with stakeholders’ representatives (owners, partners, lenders, contractors, facility management companies, etc.).
  • Manage and implement a zero-tolerance HSE culture at the site by full coordination and daily interference with both the company HSE officer and the contractor’s HSE officer.
  • Transfer policies at the site, in line with ISO 18000 HSE requirements, ISO 14000 Environmental Requirements, ISO 9000 Quality Management requirements
  • Identify, evaluate, resolve and record all construction issues/problems.
